Narrative Preface This page is an introduction to my Narrative Project Assignment.
I am not a fan of writing narrative papers. If you read my blog titled “A Letter to my Author-Self”, you would know that I don’t like to write in the first place. But narrative writing is my least favorite type of writing. I don’t like making up stories and definitely do not want to be an author. Writing that I will be doing after college will be mostly objective and definitely will not require me to make up stories.
To practice for this assignment, I wrote a blog post titled "Writing Process Roundtable," which is a fictional short story about me interacting with three authors. My draft before writing my full first draft is in the blog "Composing an Emotional Scene with Dialogue and Symbolism." My final practice for this narrative assignment was a blog post called "Telling Myself a Different Story: A Memoir Counterfactual." I have never been a part of an academic community outside of school. I have never been interested in joining the debate team or anything like that. I have never had a problem with any academic community in middle or high school except my English class every year. English was always my least favorite class and I was always was better at math and science.
